Chi Gong (also known as
'Qi Gong') is an internal aspect of Traditional
Chinese Medicine (TCM) that approaches proactive
heath as opposed to reactive treatment. It involves
the coordination of different breathing patterns
with various physical postures and motions of the
body.
In TCM, sickness comes from an imbalance within
one’s body. These motions help to stretch and work
the various body meridians and organs to promote
stronger, more balanced mind, body, and overall
heath. Through the stretching and holding positions
it also helps with balance and flexibly.
