Kumite

"One man's experience outweighs another man's theory"

Kumite (sparring) is used to allow students to work combinations of all techniques (striking, throwing, grappling, choking, ect) in a controlled manner. To practice techniques in sparring will give someone experience to work their techniques at faster, more realistic speeds.

This is NOT your tournament point fighting. It's about cooperative training, not competitive training.

Many schools emphasize point or sport fighting. If sport is the focus of your training, point fighting would be excellent. However, at Atlanta Kyusho and Jujitsu, we focus on multiple, aggressive attacks to the vital areas with joints using multiple methods to incapacitate the opponent as quickly as possible. With our Kumite training we incorporate the proper gear, proper training, and most importantly CONTROL.
